Free Webinar: Credit Scorecards
Diving into creating a meaningful scorecard by simplifying metrics and how to summarize them into a gradable matrix helping credit departments perform thorough analysis.
Join this session for a practical walk through of how to build a credit scorecard that captures the nuances of real-world credit analysis while creating a consistent, measurable framework for decision-making. Whether you’re developing a scorecard from scratch or refining an existing process, we’ll explore the key considerations that help balance objective metrics with professional judgment. Topics covered will include:
1. Why scorecards matter – Credit notes provide valuable context, while metrics create consistency and measurability. Learn why both are essential components of a strong credit analysis process.
2. Establishing the foundation – How we identified the core elements needed to build an effective and scalable scorecard.
3. Defining key risk indicators – The primary metrics that create structure, improve consistency, and clearly communicate risk appetite.
4. Building the framework – A detailed look at what to include, how to grade and group criteria, and how to appropriately weight each component.
5. From concept to procedure – Most importantly, learn how an initial idea evolved into a formal process that is still used today—and how you can implement a similar approach within your own organization.
Bring your laptop and have Excel ready—we’ll be working through practical examples that you can apply immediately.
