Excel Get and Transform
This virtual Microsoft Suite series class taught by Neal Otto will follow the schedule below. Each class must be registered for by emailing steph@nacmint.com; cost per class is $135/pp. The series is a la carte and no one must attend every class. All times are Mountain.
Excel: Get and Transform (Power Query)
This course is designed for advanced Excel users who want to streamline their data preparation process. Are you spending too much time cleaning, organizing, and reformatting data before diving into analysis? With Excel’s Get and Transform tools (also known as Power Query), you can automate repetitive tasks such as removing unwanted rows or columns, combining data from multiple sources, and resolving layout inconsistencies—all without requiring macros or VBA.
Once configured, these transformations can be applied with a single click of the Refresh button, saving you hours of manual work.
The course uses practical examples with data sources like Excel workbooks, CSV files, and text files, but the principles taught are versatile and can be applied to a wide range of data sources.
