I did not have the opportunity to attend this meeting in person. Steph has recorded it and I highly recommend you ask to watch it if you weren’t present. There was so much information given that is pertinent to improving our jobs that I recommend you watch it if you did not get to be there in person.
The first presenter was D’Ann Johnson CCE, and she introduced the Best Practices Group meeting where you can get a large amount of information and great conversations at their monthly meeting. D’Ann feels after each meeting she is able to go back to her office and implement something she has learned. She highly recommends this meeting to anyone who is interested in improving their Best Practices in their jobs. It is held the 4th Monday of the month at the NACM building at 12:00 noon. The more people, the more ideas, the more free flow of ideas for all – she then gave an invitation to please join them at this meeting.
In her presentation she showed how to speed up manual processes. She used what she calls a swim chart/flow chart for this. She also showed a chart of daily processes in her position. You can use these charts to revamp credit policy, etc. and she introduced Erik Wright, CBF who showed the tools on how to do it.
Erik presented Lucid Chart using AI. He showed how you can use Lucid to create a flow chart. He went through a number of steps that would be best understood by watching the presentation. He feels Lucid has helped him to create flow charts for presentations, training, etc. and showed how simple and easily understood Lucid is for anyone and everyone to use.
Abbey Rugg then gave us a demonstration on using Scribe. She also went through a step-by-step process to use Scribe to create embedding training manuals, a flow chart or a step by step of how to do whatever application you are trying to teach. It was amazing to see how simple and quickly you could create these different items.
Their presentations were very informative, and I encourage all to go back and watch the presentation again to really take in what they all taught.
