From My Experience to Designation:
My CBA Journey

by Brittyn Fordham, CBA

Pursuing my CBA designation while working full-time taught me valuable lessons about discipline, time management, and perseverance. Balancing work responsibilities with studying was not always easy, especially while maintaining daily commitments and trying to stay focused on long-term goals. However, the experience helped me grow both personally and professionally.

Preparing for the CBA exam required consistency and dedication. There were many days when I had to study after long work hours or sacrifice personal time to stay on track. At times, it felt overwhelming, but I reminded myself why I started the journey in the first place. I wanted to expand my knowledge, strengthen my professional skills, and challenge myself to achieve something meaningful.

One of the biggest lessons I learned throughout the process was the importance of discipline. Success did not come from motivation alone; it came from creating a routine and staying committed even on difficult days. I also learned how important it is to balance responsibilities while maintaining a positive mindset.

Earning my CBA designation gave me a sense of accomplishment and increased confidence in my professional abilities. It showed me that growth comes from stepping outside of your comfort zone and committing to continuous learning. The experience not only improved my understanding of business concepts, but it also strengthened my leadership skills and work ethic.

Looking back, pursuing my CBA while working full-time was challenging, but it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional journey.
