Embracing the New Normal

Presented by Enid G. Mickelsen

Mrs. Mickelsen is a former member of Congress from the State Of Utah. She was elected in 1994 and served on the House Rules Committee. She graduated from the University of Utah (1980) and received a juris doctorate from the J. Reuben Clark School of Law at Brigham Young University (1983) where she was an editor of the Law Review.

A trial attorney with a large Salt Lake City law firm for seven years, Mrs. Mickelsen was a Deputy Chief of Staff to Utah Governor Norm Bangerter and Chairman of the Young Republican National Federation. She hosted a public affairs show on KSL News radio for five years.  

Mrs. Mickelsen has been Chairman of the Utah Republican Party, and from 2008-2016 was Utah’s National Committeewoman to the Republican National Committee, where she served on both the Rules and Budget Committees, and was Vice Chairman of both the RNC Rules Committee and the Rules Committee of the 2012 Republican National Convention. She was the Site Selection Chairman for the 2016 Republican National Convention and was Vice Chairman of the RNC Committee on Arrangements, which was responsible for the 2016 National Convention held in Cleveland Ohio. Mrs. Mickelsen was also the Chairman of the Rules Committee for the 2016 Republican National Convention.

Mrs. Mickelsen and her husband Scott have four children and three grandchildren.

We will open the meeting at 11:45 for social distanced networking for interested members, the speaker will begin at 12:15.

    Scholarships - As a member of ICEL, after one full year of membership, and with 80% attendance at the monthly meetings (Not including December), you may submit a scholarship request for classes, educational conferences, and/or professional designation exam fees. More information
