Communication with Jamie Utley

Sometimes when communicating we inadvertently send the wrong message and create resistance in our relationships.

Jamie will be presenting on powerful, effective communication, focusing on crucial conversations and learning to avoid shame and influence others.

About Jamie

Jamie is the Co-Founder and President of Business Minds Research and Development,

an industry leader in unlocking peak performance working with companies such as Adobe, Wells Fargo, Liberty Mutual, University of Utah, 1800 Contacts and many other companies, large and small, nationwide.

Prior to the creation of Business Minds, Jamie started his first successful company at the age of 19. After 12 years of developing and growing that business, Jamie eventually sold that business. This gave Jamie the unexpected freedom to take a tour of the United States visiting 37 states while contemplating what he wanted to be when he grew up.

Building upon his prior education studying Elementary Education and specializing in Sociology and Psychology at Brigham Young University, Jamie paired his education with his love for people and desire to make a difference and created a personal development company in 2007 that focused on the power of choice and how to apply real tools in a way to create real lasting change.

In 2013, Jamie's career transformed yet again, when he, partnered with his good friend and respected peer, Adam Robison, to take what Jamie had spent a lifetime learning and teaching to the corporate world, where Jamie now spends a great portion of his time facilitating executives and corporate teams in the art of accountability, self-awareness and how to become a master of leadership and influence.

Jamie is also an avid outdoorsman, finding nature to be his greatest teacher and anchor. He particularly enjoys hiking, backcountry backpacking, camping, canoeing and fishing. He eagerly counts down the days each year to his 50-mile backpacking trip in the Wind River Range in Wyoming. Jamie has a passion for traveling and enjoys anywhere he can put his toes in the sand, explore a National Park, or spend time with his family.
